2 decades ago, people usually communicated with the same kind of people and there wasn't much challenge regarding communication until and unless one had to talk with a very senior person. But these days, specially in the corporate world and post-office, one has to be on his toes when it comes to perfection while communicating with someone. It has become mandatory to not hurt or depress someone with your speech and dialogues. To ensure that you do not make any mistake while communication, V. Rajesh has come up with his new book named "Break Free" which also has the tagline "Unlock the powerful communicator in you". The book is published by Rupa Publication.
This book is written very wonderfully which explains you each point at a time with great examples and tips. In the end of the chapter, author also manages to give "Key Takeaway" and how can one adapt this so easily that it becomes walking the talk for us. This book is recommended not only to the people in jobs where communication can effect your career but also for teenagers and students who can sharpen their skills from now itself. The book is divided into two parts in which the one is dedicated in giving away the tips while the 2nd one explains things with stories. I personally liked part 2 better than part 1. It's not that part 1 is bad but for me, Part 2 worked better as I am a fiction lover. Haha!
Author even goes on explaining what mistakes we do while writing emails and even SMSes. This book is sincerely different from other books that are written on communication as it is not talking only about those obvious points of being a good listener etc. It is talking about the points that even you'll realize while reading does make effect in a communication but not given importance. After reading this one, now I am excited for reading the previously published books of V. Rajesh. I give this one 4.25 stars out of 5.

One of the best books on Communication and Personality Development I have read ...
One of the best books on Communication and Personality Development I have read in my life. Language is simple and touching to the heart. Skills suggested are practical and anyone can adopt to improve his / her communication skills. Examples and stories are inspiring. The Best thing I liked is the KEY TAKEWAY and WALKING THIS TALK after each chapter which summarizes the important learning and skills to be practiced to be a VIRTUOSO communicator. The books describes how Clarity of Thoughts, Context and Timing are very import for communication. I am changing my habits i.e. from Multi-tasks to a single mindful activity and attentive listening after reading this book. I am also practicing breathing exercise to be remain calm during the difficult situation while communicating with others. I am recommending this books everyone. Thanks a lot V. Rajesh for this wonderful book. ALL THE BEST for it.

Excellent
Generally we tend to have a low opinion on indian published self-help genre writings but this remains as an exception.
Quick to read, very useful in everyday life and this offers few anecdotes that retell few parts of indian mythological epics and also about other tales of the world in a new light.I recommend this.

You get a different perspective.
Break Free is well crafted and I love the simple presentation. The reader will be able to related to incidents and stories that thereby get the message in. Break Free will leave you convinced that Communication (what the author calls the virtuoso communication) is not about glib talk that is akin to blowing a dog whistle it is about conducting the orchestra. That's the imagery you get. One needs to have all sets of skills pertaining to communication and be able to use them for the occasion.
I strongly recommend the book to those, particularly the youngsters, who have come out an education system that stuffs content with scant regard to language skills. This will be a starting point for building a good life as a virtuoso communicator.

This is an amazing book I have come across
It is very helpful for those especially the people managers and customer centric people to improvise their communication. Very well articulated and suitable for all people managers. Recommend every one to read this book at least once.

BREAK FREE helps put together the pieces of the communication puzzle
BREAK FREE is like a sugar coated pill which is easy to take in and has strong, powerful remedial inputs for anyone who wishes to become a better communicator. The stories and anecdotes are easy to read, interesting and most importantly helped me understand the message and inputs in the context of becoming a virtuoso communicator.
The book has made me realize the multiple dimensions that affects the communication and how I can manage all these to create a beautiful holistic communication and, as the author puts it, become a virtuoso communicator. Strongly recommended for everyone.

BREAK FREE is not just a book. It is a companion that could help you change the way the world looks at you .
If you are one of those people who suffer from poor communication , be it to your boss /colleagues or with your parents, I highly recommend you read this book. With examples and incidents from the lives of real-life personalities to mythological happenings, the author has a way with words and humour. From Lord Hanuman to Godfather, we have lessons from a unique perspective that we would have never considered otherwise.
Through the book, Rajesh analyses the various factors that influence communication such as context, culture, emotions, gender, conviction, sincerity etc. and derives a plan to be a Virtuoso communicator. My personal favourite was an account of the famous 'Mark Antony's speech' from the Shakespearen play , Julius Caesar. The speech that was pitch perfect in terms of Emotion and timing, or rather a speech that couldn't afford even a tiny mistake.
I am completely in awe of this book.
